1: 30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Nicole Vigota Gonzales, a clinical graduate, will present highlights from the Case of "Rosa," an older Hispanic woman presenting to Nicole’s therapy with overwhelming anxiety and depression resulting from chronic relational trauma. This case, Nicole’s dissertation, is published in the present issue of PCSP. Nicole employed Diana Fosha’s “AEDP” model, with elements from both emotionally-focused/experiential therapy and psychodynamic therapy.

Next, Karen Riggs Skean, who supervised the case, will talk about the case from an AEDP perspective.

Finally, in the spirit of PCSP’s and GSAPP’s multi-theoretical perspective, Shireen Rizvi will comment on the Case of Rosa from a CBT/DBT-oriented perspective concerning such elements in the case as shame and the issue of emotional regulation/dysregulation.
