The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinic at Rutgers University (DBT-RU) is a research and training clinic that provides comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services to individuals in the community. We have been in operation since 2010.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for BPD. It was originally developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan in the 1980s at the University of Washington and has since been evaluated in numerous research trials and disseminated around the world. The DBT-RU clinic aims to deliver DBT, as originally developed by Linehan, while also incorporating cutting-edge research advances.
