RUTGERS UNIVERSITY COMMENCEMENT

Graduating from Rutgers means enjoying a multi-part ceremony. One is University Commencement, a giant celebration with your fellow students from across the entire university and all three campuses. There, you will see your name scroll on the stadium ribbon board and enjoy special videos such as graduate shout-outs to family and friends, Honorary Degree recipient tributes, photomontages, and more. With thousands of guests saluting the culmination of your achievement, it will be a day you will never forget. Tickets are not required to attend the event at the stadium; however, a Commencement Parking Hangtag is required for those who wish to park on campus on May 17.
From March 23 at 10 a.m. to April 20 at 10 a.m, students must register online here for the required Commencement Parking Hangtags for themselves and their guests. Note that parking permits issued by Rutgers Department of Transportation Services for use during the year will not be valid for parking on campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick on Sunday, May 17.
Paid Parking Registration: If parking hangtags are still available, attendees may purchase hang tags online in advance for $10 per hangtag.

Important Things to Note
Stadium gates will open at 8:00 a.m. Graduating students must report to the stadium marshaling area by 9:00 a.m. More information can be found on the University Commencement Steps to Commencement webpage HERE.
CLEAR BAG POLICY IN EFFECT: There will be a security check when entering the stadium. Bags or purses larger than 4 1/2" by 6 1/2" will not be permitted inside the stadium. You may carry items in a clear plastic bag up to one-gallon size (12"x6"x12"). A list of prohibited items can be found on the University Steps to Commencement webpage HERE.

GRADUATE SCHOOL OF APPLIED AND PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY CONVOCATION CEREMONY
GSAPP's Convocation ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2020, with a procession beginning precisely at 11:00 am at Nicholas Music Center, 85 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ, Cook/Douglass Campus. Students should arrive no later than 10 am. This event is meant to celebrate GSAPP students completing their PsyD degree. Each student will have the opportunity to have his/her name called, walk across the stage and shake the hand of the Dean and Chair.
A small post-ceremony reception will be held at the Rehearsal following the event.
Parking is available on George Street in lots 79 and 79A (Hickman Hall) & lot 70 (Douglass Parking Deck).
REGALIA ORDERS - (hood color - royal blue)
Your regalia—which is your gown, cap, tassel, and academic hood—is required to participate in Rutgers University Commencement.
Rutgers–New Brunswick Graduates: Purchase regalia online for in-store pickup or delivery to your home. Order online February 7 through March 6 for pick up in-store beginning April 8. You can also purchase regalia in-store starting on April 8.
For delivery directly to the student order by April 24.

Grad Fair for all graduating students will be held at Barnes & Noble at Rutgers, 100 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, from April 8 & 9 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
GENERAL STUDENT INFORMATION
If you anticipate graduating in May 2020 you must submit a diploma application. The diploma application is available online here. Please be sure to fill out the online diploma application by April 1. For those on internship, you will apply for an August diploma.
