Alum Roy Aranda Publishes Article on Microaggressions and Hispanics

Jan, 2018

Alum Roy Aranda (’82) has published an article, “Microaggressions and Hispanics: Far Reaching Consequences of Marginalizing Statements and Attitudes,” in the fall 2017 issue of NYS Psychologist. For the more than 55 million Hispanics living in the United States today, microaggressions can have serious psychological and physical consequences. Aranda examines the long-term impact of these negative, everyday encounters and, drawing on his almost 30 years in private practice, offers a “tool kit” of strategies for psychologists who evaluate and treat Hispanics.
