Clinical Psy.D or School Psy.D applicants: please click here for important admissions information.
GSAPP currently has an approximate total of 200 students enrolled throughout the school. Each year, the two programs (Clinical Psy.D and School Psy.D) accept 18 students each into their 5-year courses of study.
Course assignments go beyond research papers and exams, encouraging students to conceptualize individual psychotherapy cases within novel frameworks, lead interactive workshops and panels, create genograms investigating their own family histories, and conducting cognitive assessments with children. GSAPP students are notable for the outstanding excellence, self-direction, and collaborative nature demonstrated in their work and interactions with peers and colleagues.
In addition to attending classes and working at various sites for their practicum and externship experiences, many students devote time to a variety of student groups. These groups address such topics as diversity, the transition to GSAPP, skill development and more. Beyond these student groups, GSAPP students have been known to form softball teams, book clubs, and other such casual group activities to forge their bond and solidify a lifelong network of collegiality. Our students hail from across the globe, with current students and alumni from multiple continents.
