Dr. Cain was recently awarded a one-year R56 grant from NIMH for a project examining social disconnection and suicide risk in older adults with the possibility of applying for additional NIMH funding after the one-year period.  This project leverages ecological momentary assessment to examine the behavioral and social mechanisms associated with social disconnection and suicide in late life.  Results will aid in the development of evidence-based personalized treatment recommendations for older adults most at-risk for suicide.

And drum-roll please...

Dr Cain has been elected President-Elect for the Society for Personality Assessment.  She will take office on January 1, 2024.  The Society for Personality Assessment is an international organization dedicated to advancing evidence-based personality assessment through research, education, training, and advocacy.

"We are so proud of the work you do and your presence at the national front" said Dean Arpana Inman.

Congratulations Dr. Cain
