Dr. Angelica Diaz-Martinez Appointed to APA - CoA

Dr. Angelica Diaz-Martinez

Congratulations to Dr. Angelica Diaz-Martinez, Director of Clinical Training, Teaching Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, on being appointed for a three-year term (January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2026) to the APA Commission on Accreditation (CoA)!

Members of the CoA are drawn from those who are knowledgeable about education and training in psychology and who have had broad, national exposure to multiple aspects of the profession. CoA serves a vital role within the APA governance system, and the efforts of its members have a great impact on professional education and training in psychology.

Dr. Diaz-Martinez said, “I am grateful to the APA's Board of Educational Affairs for my appointment to serve on the APA’s Commission on Accreditation (CoA), and to Dean Inman for supporting my application to the CoA for a three-year term. I am excited to get started in this role in APA governance when my appointment begins in January 2024. Through direct involvement, I hope to gain a more robust understanding of accreditation and educational issues as they relate to health service psychology and to make a positive impact on student training in this role. CoA is integral to education and training in professional psychology, and serving on this committee will allow me to advocate for training needs and keep abreast of current and innovative training trends.”
