GSAPP Student Honored as Chegg.org Global Student Prize Finalist

CHEGG-Org-Zina

Congratulations to Zina Ogunnaya, #GSAPP Clinical PsyD Student and Chegg.org Global Student Prize Finalist! This award recognizes extraordinary achievements of young changemakers around the globe.

Zina said, “The 2023 Chegg.Org Global Student Prize Finalist Award is an incredible honor! As a student who was raised by Nigerian immigrants, I come from a background that required ingenuity to overcome incredible odds— a mindset inherited by many students raised in immigrant households who, I hope, see this milestone and choose to act on their own inspiring ideas for health equity. I would not have access to the educational institutions that prompted and fuels my creative pursuits in social change had it not been for my community. I am very grateful.”

"Thank you to the early mentors, empowering instructors, incredible family members, and more for shaping me. This award holds great significance. It means that I am steps closer to increasing educational access through scholarship opportunities that I seek to provide in addition to the health promotion seminars that I teach. Thank you once more to Chegg.org and the Varkey Foundation!"

We are so proud of Zina and this amazing accomplishment!
