Camden MA/New Brunswick MAP Pathway
A Seamless 60‑Credit Pathway to Advanced Applied Psychology Training
Program Overview
Students begin by earning the Rutgers–Camden Master of Arts in Psychological Sciences (M.A.), a rigorous 30-credit graduate program grounded in both fundamental and applied psychological research. Students then continue onto the Rutgers–New Brunswick Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) Master of Applied Psychology (MAP) program to complete an additional 30 graduate credits.
Together, this 60-credit cross-campus pathway provides comprehensive academic and clinical preparation for students pursuing careers in counseling, applied psychology, and research-oriented professional roles.
Why Choose This Cross-Campus Pathway?
Aligned, Applied Training
Students receive strong preparation in behavioral assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention methods, supported through supervised practicum and applied training experiences.
Student-Centered Experience
The pathway is intentionally designed to create a cohesive educational experience across both Rutgers campuses. It supports an easy transition from foundational psychological science coursework at Camden to advanced applied clinical training at New Brunswick.
Expert Mentorship and Professional Support
Faculty scholar-practitioners provide individualized mentorship, research opportunities, and professional development throughout students’ academic and clinical training.
