Daton L. Haywood
BIO
Daton L. Haywood is a Doctoral Student pursuing a PsyD in Organizational Psychology at Rutgers University where he also serves as a Research Associate in the Organizational Trauma Intervention Studies (OTIS) Lab, under the direction of Dr. Preston Lindsay, in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. His interests center advancing humanistic approaches within organizational science, with an emphasis on integrating critical theories and emancipatory praxis in professional practice to foster more culturally-responsive and trauma-informed organizations. His current research explores the racialized dimensions of organizational trauma, interrogating how systemic oppression and structural violence manifests across organizational settings for professionals of color.
Daton has 15+ years of experience leading and supported cross-functional, cross-cultural teams spanning Fortune 500 corporations and small businesses alike. A Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), he has coached 100+ leaders across more than a dozen industries and has designed and delivered professional development and wellness programs serving thousands of national and international leaders annually. He holds a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Business from the University of South Florida, an MA in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and an ALM (MA) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Harvard University.
