Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence and Service to the Common Good
This academic year, the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of being the "gold standard" in the training of future mental and behavioral health practitioners. Through educational excellence, pivotal practical training, and exceptional service delivery, we continue making an indelible impact on the lives of underserved individuals, families, groups, organizations, systems, and society-at-large.
We leverage the resources of an R1 Research University, Rutgers, yet retain close-knit relationships through our small cohorts, low faculty-staff ratios, invaluable campus, local, and statewide partnerships, donors and friends. Come along on our journey as we look back, and ahead, on 50 years of excellence.
Thank You to all alumni, students, faculty, staff, partners, sponsors, and friends who attended and supported our culminating celebratory event at the Heldrich Hotel on October 4th! We are grateful for the opportunity to gather and reflect on our school's rich history and anticipate the next 50 years of excellence in scholarship, practice, research, training, and service. This memorable evening was filled with camaraderie, retrospection, recognition, and a glimpse into the future of GSAPP. Read our commemorative Gala Journal for more.

GSAPP has been "Meeting the Moment" since its founding in 1974, up to and including the present day.
We are dedicated to preparing exceptional practitioners, scholars, and leaders in applied and professional psychology who serve diverse populations. Our community continues to use their GSAPP values, knowledge, and connections to generate significant, lasting positive change.
As we reflect on our enduring legacy, help us celebrate our 50th anniversary by submitting current examples of how GSAPP community members are "Meeting the Moment" today!
Please join the Dean's Office in congratulating those highlighted in the Meeting the Moment newsletter.
To help commemorate this landmark year, we have several tools that we invite and encourage the GSAPP community to use in their email signatures and in all presentations.
Contributions, regardless of size or frequency, are greatly appreciated and will help GSAPP continue to attract and retain gold standard mental and behavioral health scholar-practitioners. All gifts will go directly to fund student scholarships. Thank you!
