The Center of Alcohol and Substance Use Studies (CAS) is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 11th Annual Scholar Poster Session with Keynote Speaker Dr. Lydon-Staley. This annual event highlights innovative, rigorous, and impactful research across the alcohol, substance use and recovery field and related disciplines.
The 2026 Scholar Poster Session is being coordinated by the CAS Scholar Poster Session Planning Team by Dr. Denise Hien, Steven Curto, Dr. Emmanuel Alvarez, Dr. Emmanuel Thomas, and Dr. Peggy Swarbrick, who are excited to support and showcase student and trainee scholarship.

Location: Life Sciences Building Atrium, Busch Campus
Schedule:
- Poster Setup: 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
- Keynote Speaker: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Poster Session: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Awards Lunch: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Outstanding posters will receive monetary awards recognizing excellence in:

Students and trainees from a wide range of disciplines and methodological approaches are encouraged to submit their work and join us for a dynamic day of scholarship, learning, and recognition.
