Entering the Psychology Profession/The Future of the Psychology Profession

Advance your Future in Psychology! This is a great opportunity for students and professionals from across New Jersey to gain career advice and shape the future of psychological practice.  

The first half of the workshop explores how to become a professional psychologist:

• How does one open a private practice?
• What legal concerns should one have in beginning a practice?
• What’s the best way to manage a career, given the realities of life?
• What are the best ways to market my practice?
• What non-traditional careers are available for psychologists?

The second half of the workshop explores the future of the profession:

• Should psychologists have prescription privileges? If so, what must psychologists do to get them?
• How is artificial intelligence (AI) being used in clinical practice?  What rules should govern its use in professional psychology?
• What is the appropriate role of Master 's-level psychologists?
• Can professional psychology benefit from more integration with its local communities
