Germán Cadenas

mental health and immigrant uncertainty webinar

Hear from Dr. Germán A. Cadenas and other experts at the Mental Health and Immigrant Uncertainty Webinar.

Hosted by the Presidents’ Alliance, TheDream.US, Immigrants Rising, Informed Immigrant, the National Latinx Psychological Association (NLPA), and the Immigrant Mental Health Lab at Rutgers, this event addresses mental health amid today’s uncertain immigration policy climate.

Dr. Cadenas also helped develop a guide for supporting mental health amid uncertain immigration status, created in partnership with the NLPA and the Presidents’ Alliance. The resource is designed for people in higher education who are directly or indirectly impacted, those providing mental health services in this context, and higher education leaders and policymakers.

The webinar will introduce the new guide and highlight ways to:

  • Protect mental health within higher education communities.
  • Support and strengthen programs and policies for all members, regardless of immigration status.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies to diverse populations, including U.S. citizens and those without status.
