Supporting Inclusive School Climate Improvement with the Free NJ SCI Survey and Platform
🌟 Featured Session at the NJPSA/FEA/NJASCD Fall 2025 Conference, "LEAD With Joy"🌟
Taking place October 16–17 for all education leaders and October 15 for assistant and vice principals, this conference will feature a special session on 10/17 from 12–1 PM, led by Alicia Raia-Hawrylak, Ph.D., Co-Project Manager of the School Climate Transformation Project and the New Jersey School Climate Improvement (NJ SCI) Survey and Platform at Rutgers GSAPP, for an inside look at this innovative, statewide resource.
Developed in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Education, the NJ SCI Platform helps school and district leaders strengthen inclusive environments by guiding them through the School Climate Change Process, from collecting and analyzing school climate data to setting goals, building strategic plans, and implementing research-based practices.
This session will also feature real-world insights from a school leader who has successfully used NJ SCI to create a more welcoming and equitable environment for all students.
