Dr. Jessica Benas
Bio
Jessica Benas, Ph.D., is the Director of Continuing Education for the Office of Professional Development and Continuing Education (OPDCE) at Rutgers University's Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). Dr. Benas earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University. She is a licensed psychologist in both New Jersey and New York.
As Director of OPDCE, Dr. Benas provides leadership and oversight for all continuing education and professional development activities, including webinars, in-person trainings, on-demand webinars, and large-scale professional conferences. She serves as Chair of GSAPP’s Continuing Education Advisory Committee and works closely with GSAPP faculty, departments across Rutgers University, community organizations, and professional partners nationwide to develop high-quality learning opportunities for mental health professionals.
In addition to her role as OPDCE Director, Dr. Benas provides clinical supervision to doctoral students in GSAPP's Clinical Psychology program. She has taught graduate-level courses, served on dissertation committees, and remains committed to supporting the professional development of future psychologists through teaching, mentorship, and supervision.
Through her work, Dr. Benas is dedicated to advancing lifelong learning, promoting excellence in clinical practice, and creating accessible, innovative educational opportunities for behavioral health professionals.
