Bio

Dr. Reddy is a Distinguished Professor in the School Psychology Doctoral Program and the Associate Dean of Research and Innovation for the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) - Rutgers University.

Overall, Dr. Reddy’s work centers on improving school personnel and parent effectiveness in supporting student learning and behavior.  Her research interests include (1) the development and validation of school/teacher assessment and interventions, (2) instructional and behavior support coaching, (2) educator effectiveness & safety/wellbeing, (3) educational technology (generative AI) and (4) students with behavior and reading difficulties in under-served schools. She is interested in exploring the intersection of generative AI and data science in schools.

Together with her colleagues, Dr. Reddy has developed three educational tools/technologies to improve school-based coaching and teacher instructional and behavior management practices: Classroom Strategies Assessment System, ReadyCoach platform and ReadyCoach Coaching Assessment System.

She has over 170 publications in top-tier journals and outlets. Her work has been funded by USDOE, IES, OSEP, and OESE as well as private foundations (over 64 million). 

Dr. Reddy is a member of the APA Task Force for Violence Against School Personnel and Teachers (website) which conducts large-scale studies on understanding school system structures, conditions and practices that influence school personnel and student safety in US schools. With her colleagues, she presented recommendations for new policies and practices to US Congress in March of 2022.

Dr. Reddy is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She consults with state departments, investigators, school districts and ed technology companies.
