Dr. Jonathan Pastor

Bio
Dr. Jonathan Pastor is currently the Associate Director ofCounseling and Psychological Services (CPS) at PrincetonUniversity, where he has worked since 2010. Jonathan is alicensed clinical and sport psychologist who oversees mentalhealth services at CPS, and leads the Alcohol and Other Drugtreatment team along with delivering assessment as well asindividual and group therapy to students. Jonathan receivedhis B.A. from Brown University in 1996, and graduated fromthe GSAPP Clinical program in 2002. He completed hisinternship and a post-doctoral fellowship at ColumbiaUniversity Medical Center, before joining the staff of theWashington Heights Community Service, an outpatient clinicin upper Manhattan, from 2002-2010.
Jonathan was certified as a sport psychologist in 2013 by the Association for Applied SportPsychology, and a focus of his clinical work at Princeton has been helping Student-Athletes.Jonathan has also specialized in supporting students who struggle academically for mentalhealth reasons, including by meeting with many of those who take leaves of absence, asthey depart and upon their return.
Jonathan first served on the GSAPP Alumni Organization as a student representative in1998 and 1999, and helped with planning the 25th anniversary gala. He joined the Board ofthe AO in 2012, and took on the role of acting Secretary in 2013 before being appointedTreasurer from 2014-2021. He has remained an active member of the AO since that time,and has also mentored GSAPP students since joining the Board. Jonathan has served as avolunteer leader of other organizations, including as Co-Chair of HOPPS (Hispanic Org ofProf. Psychology Students) while he was a GSAPP student, and as President of the LatinoPsychological Association of NJ (Now LMHANJ) in 2005-2006. He served on the SteeringCommittee of the Latino Princetonians, the Employee Resource group at Princeton forLatine employees, from 2014-2020. Last year, he was elected to the Executive Board ofACCCCS -- The Association for the Coordination of Counseling Center Clinical Services.
