Bio

Dr. Kayla Crawley is an organizational consultant with the School Climate Transformation Project (SCTP) at Rutgers University. She primarily supports the project’s technical assistance, consultation and training services for participating New Jersey districts and schools. She also contributes to the development of resources and learning materials on the New Jersey School Climate Improvement (NJ SCI) Platform to support school leaders with school climate data collection and strategic planning. Dr. Crawley received her PhD in Sociology from Rutgers University, focusing on examining persistent inequalities within education, the relationship between school districts and external research partners, as well as the barriers to school policy implementation. Her research interests allow her to support schools in adapting research-based guidance to promote systems-level school climate change in New Jersey public schools.
