Adrienne D. Sims, Psy.D. is Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at IU Health. Her responsibilities include management of all human resources functions, including Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Relations, Shared Services, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards.

Adrienne has more than 20 years of human resources experience. Prior to joining IU Health, Adrienne served as Vice President – Talent Management at OneAmerica and Vice President of Talent Management at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Prior to Dicks, she held several human resources leadership roles at Anthem including Staff Vice-President of Organizational Effectiveness and Staff Vice-President of Performance Solutions for Anthem. In these roles, Adrienne provided strategic direction and leadership on talent management, training & development, associate engagement, organizational design/effectiveness, talent acquisition, and change management for 50,000 associates.

Prior to joining Anthem, Adrienne held various leadership roles at Roche Diagnostics, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Through her early work at Catalyst, she co-authored their seminal research on Women of Color in the workplace. She has also authored or co-authored numerous articles on diversity & inclusion in the workplace.

Adrienne earned her Doctorate and Master of Science degrees in Organizational Psychology from Rutgers University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (magna cum laude) from Texas Woman’s University.

She is also certified in executive coaching from Columbia University.
