Bio

Daniel Rice, M.Ed., is the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) and represents the school as a Rutgers – New Brunswick Equity Advisor. Prior to joining the Dean’s office, Mr. Rice was the Executive Director of Answer, a national sex education organization based at GSAPP. Mr. Rice has written professional development modules on cultural responsiveness and micro-aggressions for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Division of Adolescent School Health; served on the advisory board for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Project Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education and Trauma-Informed Support Services; and served on a special committee to the NJ Commissioner of Education to update the 2020 NJ Standards for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education.  Mr. Rice is a member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), a certified Restorative Justice facilitator, and the author of "The Essential Sex Education Book for Parents: Guided Conversations to Have with Your Tweens and Teens."
