Multidisciplinary Pilot Research Study: Presentation of Findings

Join us at the RCAAS for the Presentation of Findings from a Multidisciplinary Pilot Research Study!
The Center for Math, Science, and Computer Education (CMSCE) and the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services (RCAAS) will share findings from a multidisciplinary pilot research study supported by the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) Autism Collaborative Grant.
This study sought to develop, adapt, and evaluate an inclusive maker education program and enhance vocational readiness for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Given the clinical significance of vocational outcomes and the importance of community integration for this population, this project also sought to evaluate skill acquisition, engagement, and barriers to accessibility. Future directions for a larger-scale program at Rutgers Makerspace will be discussed.
Join presenters Gabrielle Pignatelli, PsyM, BCBA (4th-year School PsyD Student), David Shernoff, Ph.D. (PI) and Christopher Manente, Ph.D., BCBA-D (PI) as they spend this time educating and describing research studies and answering listener questions. Lunch, pizza, and beverages will be provided!
