Dr. Erum Nadeem
Bio
Dr. Nadeem earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her postdoctoral research in the UCLA/RAND Health Services Research Training Program. Her work uses community-partnered research methods and implementation science to improve access to care and support the uptake of evidence-based practices in schools and community settings. Dr Nadeem’s areas of expertise include supporting schools to respond to the needs of children and adolescents exposed to trauma, the study of implementation strategies (e.g., consultation, learning collaboratives, continuous quality improvement), digital mental health, and disparities in children’s educational and mental health outcomes. Dr. Nadeem is a national expert in school-based interventions for trauma, including the Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and Bounce Back. She has published in peer-reviewed journals in psychiatry, psychology, and education, and has a history of federal and foundation funding for her research.
Dr. Nadeem also currently holds an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University and is affiliated with the IDEAS Center for improving the quality of state-delivered mental health care services for children and families.
