Arianna Irizarry attending URIP Summer Training Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
We are thrilled for Arianna Irizarry, rising 4th-year Clinical PsyD Student, for receiving an amazing opportunity! She was selected to attend the Underrepresented in Psychology (URIP) Summer Training Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. It provides ten weeks of training, housing, a stipend, mentoring and networking opportunities.
“I will be completing the Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (IND) rotation, which provides training focused on children and adolescents either with or suspected of a neurodevelopmental disability at the Child Development Center – Livingston Ambulatory Center (CDC – LAC). I will also be completing a minor rotation at The Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (CASD), where I will be exposed to a range of behavioral intervention services focused on supporting autistic youth and their caregivers.
I am very fortunate and grateful for the opportunity, as this closes any of my remaining training gaps before internship applications are due! Thank you to Dr. Diaz-Martinez, for your support and encouragement throughout the process,” said Arianna.
