Student Spotlight

“One of my ultimate career goals is to be able to build bridges between academics and athletics. My current roles as a doctoral student and behavioral health clinician working in athletics has positioned me at the intersection of these two spaces and has allowed me to connect with so many incredible people who have empowered me to continue striving towards this goal. This research article was born out of my commitment to building bridges by leveraging the power of sport and advocating for its use as a strength-based tool to promote wellness for youth of color.I look forward to continue building on this research for my dissertation and beyond!” - Alex Gamble

 

APA Task Force

APA Presidential Task Force members, including GSAPP faculty member Dr. Germán Cadenas, visited the US-Mexico border earlier this year and were instrumental in producing the APA’s updated crossroads reports, which summarize their insightful findings and evidence-based recommendations. Through candid, impactful interviews, Dr. Cadenas and colleagues share their expertise on immigration and health.
