Dr. Budge Discusses Neurodiversity at NJICLE Employment Law Roundtable

Jenna Budge (EdD, LSW, BCBA-D) was an invited panelist for an important NJ Bar Association event held in New Brunswick in December! Dr. Budge is a licensed social worker who has worked in the field of autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for over 15 years, providing evidence-based services in school, home, and adult settings. She is the Lead Behavior Analyst for the Douglass Adult Program, which recently merged with the RCAAS - Supporting Community Access through Leisure and Employment (SCALE) Program.

The event Dr. Budge participated in alongside Ayesha Krishnan Hamilton, Esq. and Christopher J. Keating, Esq., was the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) 2024 Employment Law Roundtable. The panel was titled “Neurodiversity in the Workforce.” Relevant topics included strategies for supporting neurodivergent employees in the workplace, focusing on challenges such as communication barriers, sensory sensitivities, and executive functioning difficulties. The discussion emphasized addressing these barriers through targeted workforce training and the implementation of appropriate accommodations.
