As part of RU's Disability Awareness Month, the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services and Rutgers Health co-hosted an Autism Awareness Panel that took place on October 12, at the RCAAS community center. Dr. Lisa Rossman Murphy, Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Health and Program Director, kicked off the panel with a brief introduction on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The panel was moderated by Dr. James Maraventano, Director of the RCAAS-SCALE Program.

Dr. Maraventano said, “It’s great to have this opportunity to raise more awareness and help us continue to grow an inclusive and equitable environment for all people here on campus.” The RCAAS opened in 2017 to address gaps in services available to adults with ASD. Thank you to the three student panelists who participated at the event, Cameron Matulewski, Josh Garfinkel, and Alex Sheck! They are part of the College Support Program, a unit of the RCAAS that supports enrolled RU students on the autism spectrum.
