Bio

Sophia Frontale is Research Coordinator at the Rutgers Center for Youth Social Emotional Wellness (CYSEW). She received her Master's of Professional Studies in Clinical Psychological Science from University of Maryland-College Park, graduating in November 2022 under the mentorship of Dr. Christina Danko. She also graduated from The George Washington University with a BA in Psychology in 2021.

Prior to joining CYSEW, Sophia worked as Research Coordinator for two research centers: Florida International University (FIU)’s Center for Children and Families, where she helps lead the Spright Program (a mobile BPT pilot study), and University of Maryland's TPAC program (ADHD Lab), helping lead the lab's large RCT. Also while there, she served as the first assistant for the UMD SUCCEEDS ADHD Clinic, which provides group and individual support for UMD undergraduates. She also was an executive functioning coach at SUCCEEDS in 2022.

She worked previously in the social psychology lab at GWU, where she administered studies and assisted doctoral students with their research. She has also co-authored two sociology publications, with another article on the way in late 2024. She had the privilege of presenting a poster at the ADAA conference in April 2024. Her research interests include parental influences on youth with ADHD and anxiety. She hopes to pursue these interests in a Clinical Psychology Doctoral program in the future.

In her free time, she likes to sing, paint, draw, and hang out with her dog, Piper.
