Bio

Dr. Connelly graduated from the Clinical Program at GSAPP in 1995. Since that time, he has worked in various school mental health settings, in particular the Teen Center in Highland Park and the Haven program in Piscataway. He has supervised many GSAPP students, with a focus on pragmatic, integrative psychological interventions for students, educators and families. In addition, he has a strong emphasis on cultural competence/humility and the celebration and recognition of human and cultural diversity. This includes attention to anti-racist and social justice elements of children’s lives. He has supervised numerous student research and dissertation studies and encourages publication of their findings. Mindfulness is another central component of his practice. Dr. Connelly has been meditating for many years and teaches mindfulness practices to his students. Dr. Connelly also has a small private practice in Highland Park and works across the life-span.
