Bio

Since 1987, Dr. Illback has served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Senior Evaluation Researcher at REACH of Louisville. From 1982-1998, he was Professor of Psychology in the PsyD program at Spalding University in Louisville. He also served as Deputy CEO and Director of Evaluation Research at Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health in Dublin, Ireland from 2007-2016. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Div. 16 & 37) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS). 
 

Dr. Illback's research and practice interests include program planning and evaluation, youth mental health, consultation processes, organizational change management, youth-led social innovation, and systems of care in health and human services. He co-edited three books, including Integrated Services for Children and Families: Opportunities for Psychological Practice (APA Books, 1997). Emerging School-Based Approaches for Children with Emotional and Behavioral Problems: Research and Practice in Service Integration, (Haworth Press, 1996), and Organizational Psychology in the Schools: A Handbook for Professionals (Charles C. Thomas, 1984). 


Dr. Illback has been active in professional association work at the state and national level. He served for nine years as a member of the State Board of Examiners in Psychology (including two terms as Chairperson) and VP for Professional Practice of APA Division 16 (School Psychology).
