The Children (and Families) Healing After Trauma (CHAT) Clinic

CHAT Clinic Training Event

It was a packed house at the Children (and Families) Healing After Trauma (CHAT) Clinic’s “Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy” (TF-CBT) training event!

Trainees included eager GSAPP students and individuals from Jersey City Public Schools who are part of Project Resilience. Dr. Esther Deblinger, co-developer of TF-CBT, was a special guest presenter, along with Aimee Sirois-Geddie, LCSW from Rowan University.

The CHAT Clinic is an outpatient specialty clinic in GSAPP’s Center for Psychological Services (CPS). The Clinic’s mission is to support children and families affected by trauma by helping them rebuild their identities, establish a sense of safety and foster healthy relationships with others.
