Dr. Cadenas was a Featured Speaker at the SVP’s “Bridges in Vocational Psychology” Conference

Dr. Germán Cadenas continued to demonstrate GSAPP’s global reach as an invited speaker for the closing plenary at the Society for Vocational Psychology’s (SVP) Conference in Switzerland!
This was an important collaborative event, bringing together an international audience in vocational psychology. Attendees shared global perspectives and research on using psychology and evidence-based interventions to improve workers' lives.
Dr. Cadenas' insightful talk centered on justice, a theme echoed throughout the conference. He highlighted research showing how activism and collective action support workers facing precarity, along with his own work on critical consciousness and policy advocacy for immigrant workers. Dr. Cadenas also emphasized the vital role of creating sanctuary for immigrants, who make up 1 in 5 U.S. workers and are crucial to the global economy.
