The distinguished Peterson Prize is GSAPP’s most prestigious award. It is presented annually to an alumna/us who has made outstanding contributions to professional psychology. These may include innovations in service delivery, education or training, service to underserved populations, and other creative professional efforts that enhance the general welfare.
Dr. Lucy Takagi’s prolific contributions over the course of her career make her undoubtedly, the epitome of a Peterson Prize winner. Dr. Takagi, you make GSAPP proud!
Warmest Congratulations to Dr. Patrick Connelly and Dr. Tamara Latawiec, this year’s Alumni Award Recipients!
The GSAPP Alumni Organization (AO)'s Award for Distinguished Career Achievement recognizes an alum who has distinguished themselves by contributions made in their chosen fields of endeavor, by the leadership they have exhibited, and by the general benefits to society-at-large resulting from their activities. Dr. Connelly has done this and more.
Named in honor of Grace K. Smith, PsyD (Class of 1978), this award is presented for Meritorious Service to GSAPP’s AO. Dr. Latawiec is the humble, but extremely deserving, 2024 recipient.
