Research Participants Needed for Lung Cancer Stigma Project

The Lung Cancer Stigma Project at Rutgers Behavioral Medicine Lab is recruiting participants for an online study exploring how mindfulness interventions may help reduce stigma among people diagnosed with lung cancer.

Researchers are seeking individuals who:

  • Have been diagnosed with lung cancer

  • Identify as part of an underrepresented group (e.g., LGBTQIA+, racial or ethnic minority, low income)

  • Are 18 or older

  • Live in the United States

The study takes place online and takes approximately 10–40 minutes to complete.

Led by Dr. Kristen E. Riley at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, this research aims to address health disparities and better support communities impacted by lung cancer stigma.
