Standard Five: Language Diversity

Behavior Analysts shall seek to provide or advocate for the provision of information, referrals, and services in the language appropriate to the client, which may include use of interpreters.

Course Learning Objective #1

Describe best practices for working with linguistically diverse clients and interpreters in the practice of applied behavior analysis.     

Course Learning Objective #2

Find local and online providers of interpreter services. Develop a one-page informational brochure explaining the goals of applied behavior analysis and basic terminology to give interpreters prior to a client meeting.
