The Center of Alcohol and Substance Use Studies, and the Rutgers Addiction Research Center will be hosting a Cooper Colloquium Lecture on April 24, 2025, with Dr. Shelly Greenfield where she will cover the topic "Women and Addiction." 

Dr. Greenfield is a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Kristine M. Trustey Endowed Chair of Psychiatry at McLean Hospital, where she also serves as Chief Academic Officer. She is the Mary Beth and Chris Gordon Fellow at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute (2024-2025) where she is studying gender differences in substance use disorders, and is renowned for her work in addiction psychiatry, particularly on gender differences in substance use disorders. Dr. Greenfield has also developed the Women’s Recovery Group (WRG), an evidence-based group therapy model for women with substance use disorders.
