Operational Excellence Listening Tour
The Operational Excellence Listening Tour highlights the successful working relationships between Rutgers–New Brunswick and the universitywide administrative offices that help us achieve our goals.
Senior Vice President for Research Michael E. Zwick will join Senior Vice Provost for Research Denise Hien for an informal discussion on the Rutgers University Office for Research (OfR) and the ways it partners with and supports our Rutgers–New Brunswick departments.
Senior Vice President Zwick and Senior Vice Provost Hien will respond to questions and ideas submitted in advance by members of our community. Audience members will have the opportunity to make suggestions for change in the ways OfR and Rutgers–New Brunswick work together.
OfR’s responsibilities include:
- Pre-award support
- Post-award support and compliance
- Research contract services
- Research Regulatory Affairs (including IRB, Conflicts of Interest, and Export Control)
- Research policy and training
- Development and management of universitywide enterprise research applications (RAPSS, ECOI+, eIRB, eIACUC and eCERT)
- Management of the universitywide animal care program (22 facilities across three geographic campuses)
- The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
- Universitywide research and industry partnerships
- Technology commercialization (including managing and marketing of intellectual property, agreement compliance, guidance establishing new start-ups, and mentorship for entrepreneurs)
