Alejandra Sanchez-Sarmiento, a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at GSAPP, has been awarded the 2025–26 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (MHSAS) Predoctoral Fellowship from the APA Leadership Development Institute.
Funded by a SAMHSA grant, this nationally recognized fellowship supports the development of psychologists committed to serving underserved communities. The program focuses on expanding access to effective mental health services and strengthening the field of behavioral health and prevention through leadership and applied research.
