Congrats to the 4th year Clinical Psy.D cohort on their 100% match in Phase 1 to APA-accredited internships!
This year's national match included 3,327 applicants who were successfully matched to internship positions in Phase I of the 2022 APPIC Match. A total of 46% of all applicants who obtained a position matched to their first choice internship program, more than two-thirds (70%) received one of their top two choices, and about five-in-six (83%) received one of their top three choices. A total of 3,534 accredited internship positions were in the Match this year, the largest number ever but only a slight increase of 19 positions (0.5%) as compared to the 2021 Match. Since 2012, the number of accredited internship positions, as the number of registered applicants exceeded the number of accredited positions by 446 (see APPIC/NMS Match 2022 Statistics).
