The Peterson Prize, GSAPP’s most prestigious award, is presented annually to an alum who has made outstanding contributions to professional psychology.

The GSAPP Alumni Organization's Award for Distinguished Career Achievement honors alumni who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, impact in their field, and meaningful contributions to society.

Named after Grace K. Smith, PsyD ('78), this award recognizes outstanding service to the GSAPP community through continued support, engagement, and advocacy.

Well-deserved congratulations to our amazing 2025 Student Award winners, who received these honors from the GSAPP community and dedicated Alumni Organization!

The Peterson Prize Student Travel Award is presented to a student who greatly values the scientist-practitioner model and has expressed interest in working cross-culturally or with international organizations.

The Dr. Jamila Irons-Johnson Achievement Award is given to a GSAPP student in their second year or higher who has demonstrated commendable academic achievement and exceptional clinical skills.

The Dr. Grace K. Smith Meritorious Student Service Awards are presented to one doctoral student from each academic program (Clinical, Organizational, and School Psychology) who has rendered meritorious service to GSAPP.
