Dr. Germán A. Cadenas served as the keynote speaker at the NJ Higher Education Mental Health Summit, Sustaining Student and Employee Well-Being in Times of Uncertainty: Centering Mental Health in a Shifting Higher Education Landscape, held on January 8th at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His presentation drew on his scholarship in the psychology of immigration and critical consciousness, highlighting strategies to support the well-being of immigrants and other underserved communities.
The Summit convened campus leaders and student-facing professionals to share resources and approaches that strengthen student mental health across higher education.
